Staying home has taken on a new meaning this year and supporting our local SnoCo community has never been more important. There are so many ways that you can support the small businesses around you, right from the comfort of your own couch!
Businesses of all kinds, from clothing stores to bookstores to furniture stores, have shifted as much as possible to online platforms. Shopping local online has never been easier, and now you can get all your favorite products without ever leaving your house.
Restaurants in SnoCo have done an outstanding job following COVID health guidelines and adapting to dine-out and take-out demands. Many local restaurants are offering online orders and delivery, as well as curbside pick-up (if you feel like putting those slippers on and getting into the car). Takeout is a wonderful way to avoid cooking dinner while also supporting local businesses!
The season of giving is in full swing! Gift cards always make a wonderful gift for people of all ages (or to keep for yourself), and this year they can make an even bigger impact. Check out your favorite SnoCo small business website, write a glowing review, and give them a call to purchase a gift card to support the local community.
Many local SnoCo clubs, museums, gyms, and businesses have shifted their offerings to a virtual setting. Take a few online classes, whether you exercise your body or exercise your brain, to stay involved and active while you support small businesses in the community.
One of the simplest ways to help a small business right now is to donate, if you can. While some businesses may not accept donations, it doesn’t hurt to give them a call and ask, you never know the impact it may have on that business owner and their family.
